Sleek twin-motor flying wing with pusher electric power system
The Airbull is a fun model aimed primarily at the advanced pilot who is
confident flying aileron-equipped aircraft, and is seeking a model with a
distinctive "look" in the air.
The Airbull is a thoroughbred power model with a generous performance excess,
making it capable of a brisk rate of climb. Like all flying wings the Airbull
is extremely manoeuvrable, making low-level manoeuvres and aerobatics
tremendous fun, including loops, inverted flight, tight, steep turns and
perfectly axial rolls. The pusher arrangement of the 400 electric motors
produces a highly efficient power system, while the jet-like sound of the
motors emphasises the model´s fast, smooth appearance in the air.
The flying wing is based on a small number of accurately moulded foam
components, making it so robust that it can shrug off abrupt control commands
and harsh landings alike.
At the design stage we placed particular importance on the use of standard
servos and a standard 7-cell battery (sub-C), so there is no need for expensive
micro-components. Control is via combined trailing edge ailerons / elevators
(elevons), for which an electronic mixer is required; a computer transmitter
with integral mixer functions is therefore essential.
As standard the moulded foam components are supplied in a white finish, but the
model can be finished in any colour you like using the new range of robbe
paints.
